Mamie Baird Magnusson - what a remarkable woman, what a life! Hailed as one of Scotland's finest journalists, "the golden girl of the Scottish Daily Express" married fellow Scot & journalist, Magnus Magnusson.
Mamie took her husband's name, but she did not tred a traditional pathin,did NOT give up her thriving career, although she & Magnus would have five children.
Soon after she gave birth to her first child - Sally - Mamie started a regular column for the Express, as well as becoming a freelance writer, sometimes in tandem with her husband.
And then she was diagnosed with dementia.
