Lillian Weber - energy beam extraordinaire!

On my last birthday I set a goal of, by my 65th, helping set my little hometown on the road to being a blue ribbon town for living expansively.  A lot of elements are already in place, a lot of people are already involved in moving it forward.  It's a time of great opportunity in our beloved boro & my goal is to do all I can to help cultivate the unfurling blossoms.

Big deal - piddly compared to Lillian Weber! Her wish on her 99th birthday was to have sewn 1,000 dresses for Little Dresses for Africa, a Christian-affiliated non-profit operating in 78 countries worldwide, by the time she hit 100.  (She started sewing them when she was a kid of 96, in 2011).  She did it, with dresses to spare!

Lillian has made a new dress practically every day.  (Makes me strongly suspect she's related to Lori O.)  By the time she celebrated her Big 1-0-0 on 05/06/15, she'd topped her goal by 51 dresses!

As if to confirm my suspicions she's related to Lori O., she doesn't just whip off the same dress - she personalizes each one, putting something on the front to set it apart from all the others. She goes beyond doing something to doing something truly personal.

Rache O'Neill, Little Dresses for Africa founder, said it all at the birthday party honoring Lillian -  “There’s no age limit to this. Somebody who’s 100 years old still putting out this quality with such a positive and inspirational message, it’s just been wonderful. Lives are really saved because of these dresses.”

Lillian's advice for living a long, engaged life?  "Go to bed early, get up late.  And as for eating, it’s whatever you enjoy.”  Amen to that!  And countless blessings from countless fans around the globe for whom you embody so many messages about living with verve & purpose all the days of our life!
