Sorry to post two flicks that aren't readily available for free - happy to loan you my dvds.
Both of these films look at relationships that could not have happened for these particular couples UNTIL they were "a certain age." Nicholson had to slow down long enough to look around & see what was real, rather than young & hot. Keaton needed to carve out space in her life before true love could makes its way in. Streep needed to heal & - yes - find a sense of closure with a relationship that was always on course for ultimate disaster before she could let Steve Martin help her rebuild her sense of well-being. And Alex Baldwin - well, maybe all he learned is that he was doomed to never really learn.

Great movies about stories that couldn't have happened until their characters had aged to imperfection.
