Okay, this is goose bumpy. The current issue of LIVE HAPPY magazine includes a BIG advertisement for this week's first ever Festival of Positive Education, in Dallas, TX. When I first came across the event, back in March or April, my spirit soared, my heartbeat raced even more than usual, I was ready to book my plane ticket, prepared to bake in the mid-July heat.
Okay, it was a conference on education, not growing older, but I've found that what applies to the one often applies to the other. While the NCCA Conference on Aging & Creativity always focuses on the positive, there seemed to be something special to an event that actually calls it out, by name.
It didn't take long to hit me that although the Dallas conference sounded fabulous & well worth my interest, it did not reach the bar of being worth my time. I thanked the Universe for putting awareness of it in my path ~and~ acknowledged looking for something that more clearly reflects my life work.
Last week, it came through - BIG time - when I connected with next month's International Conference on Positive Aging, in Washington DC.
Gives me serious pause & a clear reminder to thank the Universe for responding - in its trademark abundant fashion - to my request. And another thank you to myself for not settling for a something that looked great, but wasn't really a good fit! Give the Universe a clear idea of what you need, have faith in its awesome generosity & let it do its thing!
