Still smiling, remembering last night's delightful birthday party with dear friends at Rydal Park! John's been sick with a wretched cold & I've been taking valiant steps to stay clear of it myself, so there would not have been much cheer on my 63rd birthday if it had not been for a special circle of special someones, including a dear grannie client.
What a dinner party! Our long table rocked with good fellowships & great conversation. Dear-to-my-heart staff joined in, getting slabs of birthday cake & exchange of best wishes. I think "Happy Birthday" was sung at least four times!
If I open things up for older friends, they open up just as much for me. Last night brought home that my purpose in doing what I do isn't simply to expand possibilities for oldsters, but for all of us. When different generations click & connect - as at least three did last night - the result is joy for everyone!
To my dear friends - thanks, thanks & more thanks!
