Sheez, did I take the decision of a client's family PERSONALLY. Yikes! One ego, fully fluffed & all self important - two steps forward.
Yes, the children's inability to free up a few extra hours for their parent is utterly incomprehensible. Yes, they seem to be totally not connect to what I - I I I - tried to convey. But get over it!
So, they don't get the benefits & blessings that attach to mutual, selfless service - where, as Ram Dass described it, the server & the servee approach the situation from an attitude of compassion, transforming any sense of obligation & guilt into one of service. I flipped it from being all about a dear older friend to being all about ME.

In the name of seeking the higher good, I caved into my most craven self.
